Passion on the move

Hello there. My name is Pete and I'm a film maker - specialising mainly in wedding films but my passion for moving images means I'm happy filming - whatever your project - big or small!

Learn more about me or get in touch if you want to hire me on your next project.

Wedding Films

I've been creating wedding films for over 5 years and with over 200 under my belt I feel I know how to capture the big day with all the feeling and passion that was there at the time - bringing the big day back to life for the bride, groom and their families and friends.

Corporate Promos

Whatever your business, a promo video is a good way to get accross what you do to prospective customers and clients. Moving pictures and sound really bring your products and services to life and is a perfect way of advertising.

A Little About Me

I graduated at Leeds Polytechnic with a film related graphic design degree and have worked in film making all my adult life, including a 5 year stint at The National Media Museum in Bradford and teaching media production at Craven College in Skipton.

Wedding Films

With a background in documentary and corporate film making, my skills allow me to discreetly document your day with the minimum of fuss. Your video will be a tasteful and accurate memory of your big day, as it really happened.

I use a selection of the latest professional video and audio equipment which allows me to capture every suble colour and whispered vow to perfection. Video is captured in full high definition for delivery on DVD, Blu-Ray disc or web friendly formats.

On the day

Being a solo operator allows me to film your day discreetly, many people stop noticing I'm there fairly quickly! Also using small yet professional equipment means I simply don't get in the way, allowing guests to enjoy the wedding without being 'bothered' by a film crew.

What's on the disc?

Wedding DVDs are broken down into chapters. Ceremony and speeches are in real time with live audio whereas other pars of the day (arrivals of guests/afternoon reception etc) are set to music.

I have packages to suit every budget from 'ceremony only' up to the 'full day' check out for more details.

Music and audio

The ceremony and speeches are all recorded using live audio. Discreet audio recorders are placed to capture every word. Music is used for other parts of the day and this can be chosen by the couple.

About me.

Peter Rush - Film Maker

I graduated with a film related degree from Leeds Polytechnic, and have spent my entire working career involved with all practical aspects of media production. I spent 5 years working at The National Media Museum in Bradford and many years working on corporate video production. I have been making wedding films for over 5 years and in that 5 years completely understand what makes a good film and how to capture the passion and mood of the day.

Filming style for Corporates

When done right, video can help promote your business to a wider audience and educate and engage existing customers. I will work with you to create promotional or training videos that reflect the nature of your business and enhance your products and services to new and existing clients.

Filming style for Weddings

My style is very documentary as opposed to scripted. I like to capture your wedding day as it was, rather than how I think it should be. As a result your end video will be very natural and my filming style allows me to be unobtrusive in capturing your big day with the mimimum of fuss.

My Video Websites

Yorkshire Wedding Videos is my business site for weddng films. From small registry offices through to large marquees and cathedrals. From packages starting at £475 there's a package to suit even the most budget concious bride.

Northern Wedding Videos is my other business site for weddng films I set up when I discovered I started to get bookings from outside Yorkshire and accross the north of England . There are lots of up to date samples and showreels to look at on both sites.

Planning is key to any video project, be it a wedding or awards ceremony. Getting on top of the details from day one is very imprtant to ensure the shoot goes smoothly and nothing is missed. A well planned video shoot ensures it's carried off in a calm and relaxed style.

Personal Style

As a friendly and personable individual I like to integrate with the people I'm working with to make the project go as smooth as possible. This is especially important at weddings as disruption neeeds to be kept to a minimum and already frayed neves don't need making any worse!

It is a beautiful video and you edited it very well! We shared laughs and happy tears when we watched it together. Both video and audio are of good quality. We are very pleased that you captured all the precious moments as well as small lovely moments which show the love and emotions of people at the wedding. And all the requests we had made before the wedding were met. Everything is perfect! Thank you very much for your great effort indeed!"

"Best Value for Money"

"Having our special day filmed was really important to us as we wanted to make sure we captured all the fun memories that you don't always get to enjoy when you are in the middle of it all. Peter was so nice to work with and the end result was amazing, capturing both the funny and emotional bits of the day! We didn't feel at any point like the filming was intrusive and all our guests loved getting stuck in with the video messages. It is something we'll treasure and watch time and time again. All in all it was the best value for money element of our wedding and Peter gave us exactly what we wanted, right down to the backing music and the bag of popcorn to watch it with!

Helen & Ryan - Skipton - June 2013

Worth Remembering

If A picture is worth a thousand words then a video at 25 pictures every second is priceless!

...not just movies

As well as making films I am also an experienced photographer for both weddings and commercial clients including portraiture. Capturing a moment in time is a very different discipline to film making but just as rewarding. Storytelling through film is one thing but through a series of still images, whether it's a wedding day or the development of a product, is another.

Wedding Photography

Corporate photography can be taken on your premises or in any location of your choosing. Whether your want your products photographing, the building you create them in or the people you employ - it's entirely up to you. My job is to take the best pictures I can that show your products and services off to their best.

Portrait Photography Portrait Photography

I approach wedding photography by first discussing the expectations of the couple getting married - it's their day so they have a say in what type of photography they want - whether it's super formal or documentary repoartage in style, I'll provide the service and present the chosen prints in a variety of formats and albums.

Portrait photography should be fun and I make sure it is - I prefer real world portraiture, away from the sterile confines of a studio and capturing yourself and your loved ones in the environment in which they live. It's a more natural way to photograph someone and someone who is in surroundings they are familair with will look it in the final print.
